Mrs Winston has informed me that she does not want Ashford Allotment Society to use this website at all any more. She says the Committee of Ashford Allotment Society will be, at some time in the future, setting up its own new website.
For now, I have decided this website will carry on independently from Ashford Allotment Society, run by me as an individual. The alternative would be it just vanishing, with nothing to replace it. If you would like to see more about how this came about please click on 'read more'.

I'd assumed I'd simply hand this website over after the September 23rd commitee meeting. However, two days before the meeting I got Mrs Winston's email, which, while making it clear she did not want to use this website, seemed to instruct me to terminate my Weebly account and take the website down. If I do, the contents would be deleted and local allotmenteers wouldn't be able to see it.
The commitee have not been asked about this at the meeting on 23rd. I do not think Penny Winston wants the website to be deleted, as she tells me that in the future she expects to be able to copy whatever contents she wants to her new website.
This website was started in September 2013. By accident rather than design, it's not formally linked to Ashford Allotment Society. When it came to filling in the forms, everything was put in my name. The site name was chosen to be short, snappy, and easy to use; there was no other reason it didn't mention the society.
There was no treasurer, so the payments had to be set up on my credit card. The payments are still being made on my card.
The forms allow for the name and linked email address to be changed to a new compiler, and I assumed this is what would happen when I resigned and a new compiler was appointed. But the Chair has made it clear she does not want this website any more. I've been through the website doing my best to spot and remove any inappropriate references.
