Information about the various allotment sites run by Ashford Borough Council has now been transferred to the new official Ashford Allotment Society website at http://www.ashfordallotmentsociety.org 

Ashford Borough Council also has a number of vacant sites – sites that fell into disuse during the years when allotments weren’t popular. The last few plotholders were moved to other sites, the gates were locked and nature, by and large, took over. Bringing those plots back into use is, from the point of the person on the waiting list, clearly desirable.
However, it isn’t as simple as you might think . . .
