If anyone would like bulbils of Rocambole to grow on, contact the website using the contact form, or email the compiler on [email protected]. This close cousin of garlic has been used in British cooking and grown in British gardens for centuries. It is more tolerant of heavy soils than other types.
Free to a good home OK, we know it's not a vegetable! We have a small number of tubers of this gloriously exotic yet fairly easily grown plant from the Himalayas (click here to go to RHS page about it).
It will grow happily in a pot or in any sheltered spot in reasonably well-drained soil. You don't need to lift the tubers. Fantastic patio plant. Amaze and astound your friends! Have your neighbours green with envy! Contact Us if you'd like some! |
